Prattville is a city in Autauga and Elmore counties in the State of Alabama. The city has approximately 34,000 residents and is home to Capitol Hill, a Robert Trent Jones Golf Cousre. Prattville serves as the county seat of Autauga County and is part of the Montgomery metropolitan statistical area. Prattville was founded in 1839 by industrialist and architect Daniel Pratt. Daniel Pratt founded a cotton gin manufacturing equipment manufacturing company, and from this company the town became an industrial center and rapidly grew.
