Prattville Water Works

In September 1948, the Water Works Board of the City of Prattville was formed under Title 37 of the Code of Alabama.The purposes of the Board are to acquire, construct, operate, maintain, improve and extend a water works system in the City of Prattville and surrounding territory.
The Water Works Board currently provides water service to approximately 11,500 residential and 950 commercial accounts in its service area. The system operates 15 deep artesian wells,11 storage tanks and over 500 miles of distribution line.
